Arthur
Hi! I’m Arthur. I’m a CELTA and TEFL certified English teacher for Cambridge. I have been teaching children, teenagers and adults here since 2014. Before that I had a great pleasure of teaching thousands of students across China and Vietnam, and England, by which I was given an opportunity to develop my teaching skills using variety of techniques in all sorts of cultural backgrounds as well as an ability to identify and address different students’ needs. My goal is to go outside the schemes while teaching and adapt the methods to the needs and abilities of particular groups or individuals.
Carlos
My name is Carlos and I’m originally from New York, New York. I’ve been working as a teacher for nearly 8 years. I started working as a teacher in Prague, Czech Republic back in 2007, with a brief one year hiatus before moving to Warsaw. I love working as a teacher as it allows for creativity and great fun. I’ve taught both general and business English and I’ve also worked with children and young adults. The dynamics of both groups can be very different so I try to use different approaches in each class. I want to present a relaxed atmosphere and positive approach to learning. In my free time, I love watching movies, reading about current affairs, and spending time with my friends. I also love to travel. I have visited over 10 different countries since I moved to Poland. It’s great to be able to visit so many different places without being too far from home.
Eve
My name is Eve and I have been teaching for a little over 2 years in Warsaw. My experience includes general English, Business English and exam prep such as CAE, FCE and IELTS. Prior to teaching in Warsaw I had the pleasure of teaching a multi-ethnic groups in Chicago for a decade. It was truly a melting pot as I taught the following groups of students: Koreans, Chinese, Thai, Mongolian, Arabs, Poles, Russians, Ukrainians, Turks and Bulgarians. Also I have experience in teaching kids and teens. I enjoy teaching as things are always changing. In particular teaching different levels and age groups is appealing to me as there is always something new. I use multi intelligences in my teaching as all students have their preferred ways of learning. All in all teaching is fun to me and I really enjoy it. As to my credentials I have a bachelors in Organizational Communication and a year of the MA in Linguistics. Furthermore I completed the CELTA certificate in Warsaw. In my free time I really enjoy biking, swimming, walking, reading, theater, museums and travelling to new places.
Sheila
Sheila is an American of Irish, Scotch-Irish, German, and English descent. She was born and raised in Syracuse, New York. Sheila possesses a Master of Arts in English Literature from Binghamton University in New York State as well as a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Stony Brook University on Long Island, New York. At both universities she specialized in British literature due to her preference and the availability of courses. Sheila is additionally certified to teach English on the secondary school level, and she taught high school English at the American School of Warsaw. Sheila fondly remembers her three-year stint in the United States Peace Corps teaching English as a Second Language to high school students in Pruszków and Ostrowiec Świętokrzyskie. Having taught in a number of English language schools in Poland, Sheila has polished her ESL teaching skills. Her subjects of instruction have included general English on all levels, general business, E-Commerce, and preparation for British as well as American exams including CAE, FCE, and GMAT. Sheila enjoys all aspects of teaching English, including teaching grammar. She has been teaching at the Cambridge School of English since October 2015 and at L2 since February 2016, both schools of which she very much likes cooperating with.
Liana
A young but prospective teacher who has graduated from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Warsaw, the faculty of English Philology. Teaching English as a foreign language is the main field of her interest; however, she also likes to explore and to investigate different cultures, their aspects and the differences between them. Teaching in Poland and in other different countries has allowed her to gain the necessary knowledge and experience of working with both international and local groups of students. As her main teaching method Liana uses communicative approach, which brings successful results to her students. She always tries to motivate the learners, using different techniques (both modern and standard ones) and to develop their critical-thinking skills, problem-solving skills, and problem-approach behaviors.
In addition, Liana’s lessons are never boring and are full of enthusiasm and energy, which she always shares with the students.
James
James comes from Australia and is a graduate of political science and law. He is a lawyer. For many years he worked at large firms in Australia, Italy and China. Since 2014, he has been studying and working in Warsaw as a teacher of legal English. He is a member of EULETA, the european legal English teachers’ association.
In addition, Liana’s lessons are never boring and are full of enthusiasm and energy, which she always shares with the students.
Kamila
My name is Kamila. I hail from a bilingual family. My dad is Iraqi and my mum is Polish. We have used both Polish and English at home since birth. I’ve been teaching English for 3 years now. I have taught students from various backgrounds, ages, and levels. Private lessons to classrooms. My experiences have varied and have allowed me to gain an insight into the challenges that students face. I studied Film Acting, Film Directing and Audiovisual Arts at Warsaw University of Social Sciences. I have a B.A. in this field of studies. I have also completed first year of European Law School at Maastricht University . I am about to graduate English Philology..
I enjoy travelling a lot. This background has helped me to understand the cultural differences of my students, including differences in how they may approach learning, writing, their body language and verbal communication. Rollerblading, dancing and travelling are my drugs of choice. Fresh Mango Juice defines my happiness! Aside from teaching and acting, I spend a lot of my time reading.
